A trainee? or a labor?
Today while i was wiping glass...the executive chef approached and talk to me...he ask whether wiping glass can learn anything...your college never tought u how to wipe glass?you come here to train and to learn...but wiping glass we can learn it by one day...instead, we are doing it every single day...they are making us like a labor and they are not training us...said chef Bob. From him, if we go in kitchen, its different, at least we learn how to fried an egg and making better and better over the time, and when we go overseas, we can take care of our meal...yea...sorta...he may be right, but what can we do, we are trainee, maybe a future hotelier, and maybe will supervise or manage ppl...so...for me...lets start from basic and get all the skill...at least when we are in higher level position...we can show to staff that we know all the basic and we study diploma not for the theory only...and at least...we could get ourself some respect...so...i dun mind if i need to do all the basic and simple and sometimes complicate things...as long as it is a part of the training that can train me as well as improves me...i will do it!!
